Who this notice covers
This notice applies when you browse ohridwatersports.com, send an activity or booking enquiry, use our recommendation flow, or follow a booking-partner link. Ohrid Watersports is responsible for the information it collects through these services.
Information we collect
When you submit an enquiry, we collect the information you provide: your preferred shore, activity, duration, date and time, group size, name, email address, optional notes, and whether you chose to receive marketing emails.
We may also record limited operational information, such as the activity recommendations shown to you, a request identifier, the partner product you clicked, campaign information, and the time of the click. Our hosting and third-party tools may process standard technical information such as browser, device, IP address, page views, referrer, and cookie or similar identifiers.
How we use it
- To answer your enquiry, recommend suitable activities, and confirm the next booking step.
- To send service messages connected with your request.
- To send occasional activity ideas or offers only when you select the optional marketing checkbox.
- To understand which activities interest visitors, improve the website, prevent misuse, and protect our services.
- To keep reasonable business and support records.
Submitting an enquiry does not guarantee availability or create a completed booking. Optional marketing consent is separate from the enquiry and can be withdrawn at any time.
Service providers and booking partners
We use service providers to operate the site. These currently include Supabase for database processing, Resend for email delivery, and Vercel for website hosting. They process information for us under their own security and privacy terms.
Some activity links, widgets, and analytics are supplied by third-party booking partners, including GetYourGuide. If you open a partner page or complete a booking there, that partner and the activity provider process your information under their own notices and terms. We do not receive your payment-card details from a partner checkout.
Cookies and local storage
The site may use browser session storage to carry your selected shore, activity, and trip preferences between pages. Partner widgets and analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to measure referrals and attribute bookings. You can control cookies through your browser and, where offered, the partner's privacy settings; blocking them may affect widgets or referral tracking.
How long information is kept
We keep enquiry and operational records for as long as reasonably needed to respond, provide support, understand demand, maintain business records, and meet applicable obligations. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to stop, subject to limited records needed to respect that choice. Data may be deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from marketing using the option in an email or by contacting us. You may also ask about, correct, or request deletion of personal information we control. We may need to verify the request, and some records may need to be retained where reasonably required by law, security, or an ongoing booking issue.
Children
Booking enquiries should be submitted by an adult. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate adult involvement, contact us so we can review it.
Contact and updates
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to lucaarrig@gmail.com. We may update this notice when the website, providers, or data practices change.
